There's this challenge happening on Anime Amino and we basically have to draw a character wearing designs based on the country we were born in. I was born in China and I am Chinese uwu I chose Cinnabar because cinnabar is found in China and is use for lacquer ware. Plus in Cinnabar's OST titled "Cinnabar" a Chinese instrument called Erhu is prominently heard so I feel as if that connected Cinnabar enough with China uwu

I didn't draw Cinnabar in any distinguishable Chinese hairstyles unfortunately ;-; I originally drew it in a bun but it looked weird so I compromised. Other than that she's wearing a popular traditional dress. To be honest, I don't know much about China since I was raised in Canada (to reiterate the challenge stated the country had to be the one we were born in) so I deeply apologize if I offend anyone!

Anyways, about my artwork, this piece is my first piece that required a background drawn in perspective. It really messed me up xD At one point she was walking downhill which I could have kept it like that but I wanted it to be level ;w; In the end I got a lot of help from some friends I made on a Discord server. I'm overall content with the results, it's funny, this artwork makes me want to not draw backgrounds ever again but at the same time want to draw more backgrounds.
