Not a problem - it's my duty - nay, pleasure, to keep other Avatar fans apprised of the situation.

Nah, I missed seeing it before they took it down.

I'll catch it mid-April, though, when it (inevitably) makes it's way onto youtube.

Just tell me one thing - was it awesome?

In MY opinion...yes! Korra is so bad-ass!! Of course it starts out kinda slow but the original did too...I'm sure the action will pick up as the series goes on...

Oh...it's still on youtube ^_^ [link] hopefully this link still works :-/

Enjoy!!

Thanks (yes, the link worked).

I'm not sure what to think of it - on the one hand, there's the awesome bending (though I can't help but feel as if Korra is a little Canon Sue-ish, given how badly she seems to outclass EVERYBODY else).

One the other hand, Steampunk Avatar? It kinda feels as if it's someone's radical fanfic alteration, but they had enough money to animate it, you know? CARS in my Avatar-verse? Not a fan. In fact, the entire series seems WAY too advanced for only being 80/90 odd years in the future. Though the metalbending police force was awesome, it makes you wonder if they'll show other elements of the Police Force (I'm assuming that the metalbenders aren't typical of the Force, otherwise the only officers would be [Former?] Earth Kingdom, which implies that the much vaunted diversity of Republic City is all a sham).

Does Korra's polarbeardog's legs look really, really weird to you too? I mean, the back legs just look too spindly to support that massive frame.

I have debated to death the issue of Korra and the God-Mod type prowess she appears to have, but I think she will have lots of trouble with airbending. (this can be explained by the creator's intentions- they already gave you firebending and waterbending lessons, now they want to focus on air)

But, I did hear a good theory: Korra was brought up in a more multi-cultural world than the Gaang. She got exposed to other bending styles early, where other Avatars studied their art exclusivly, until they were 16 of course. Add to that, my own personaly theory that the Avatar Spirit is getting progressively "older and more powerful" in a way, due to its multiple lives (as it is impliled that Aang is the first Avatar to ever spiritbend)

Also, please don't spoil anything for me, but I don't picture Korra as being able to lightningbend, (as that is a highly spiritual aspect of fire, her opposite) and maybe she is in the midst of learning metalbending. Can she heal at all? Perhaps not.

There are tons of ways they could spin this, but if they simply leave it alone and give it no spotlight, discussion, or backstory, then yes, I will be disappointed. Don't count her out yet, though.

As for the tech, think about it. The Fire Nation had tanks and jet skis and a giantic friggin' Drill. It was already steampunk, just not on a consumer/everyday life sense.

Besides, can't you just SEE Sokka and Teo shaping the future with their inventions???? I think this is a huge testament to them. (and I hope we get flashbacks that proclaim it as such.) Besides, look at how much America changed between 1850 and 1930.

I agree with you on Naga's anatomy. She looks a little like a half greyhound. (and I house-sit four greyhounds.) I want to know the backstory on her species, too. Apparently, she isn't a "bender" the way dragons, badgermoles, and sky bison are. Sadness!!! (Ah well, that means I get to hold on to my headcanon of waterbending eelwolves. >:3)

I kinda dig the steampunk thing...but the cars threw me too...I agree, it seems a little too soon to be that advanced but hey, after all, they did have those giant flying airships in the original ATLA *shrug* I guess I can over look it lol

Chief Bei Fong kinda rubbed me the wrong way when she said Toph and Aang were "ancient history"...but I think she'll grow on me. There's probably some background story with her and why she's such a bitch...

As far a Korra's dog...I totally agree...her hind legs could stand to be a bit more thicker lol!

It's crazy that everyone but Katara is gone *sadface*...I'm really curious about this Amon guy though...and his connection to everything........
