hmm.. I really like your compositions and use of perspective, foreground etc, definitely good, Have you gotten the drivers installed for the tablet you're using at all? I'm just curious because some of the lines I see are the same thickness all the way through, but most tablets can sense different pressures and respond to that, which makes mark making much more natural like using paper or paint in real life. I think getting the textures right on say the trees will need some work but i think that's more down to getting accustomed to the tablet than anything. Perhaps also try using the unsharp mask filter a little? because that will give a very different but fairly effective edge to things like the edges of trees, but maybe avoid using it o the background elements to give more depth of field. I've also noticed you're using very large file formats as well which is interesting, because I used to do that all the time because I felt it was the only way to zoom in properly to get details looking good, it's interesting that you're trying to use a larger format too

Yea I prefer the large files for detailing my paintings. I do have all of my drivers, I just don't use pen pressure transfer, In my opinionion it is unreliable, and kind of annoying. Varying brush size based on pressure is incredibly unpredictable and I just don't like it, along with many other illustrators. I usually make the files huge, but I don't quite know how to size them down for websites and stuff. I'm still learning a lot lol, I've only been illustrating just over a month. Thanks a ton for the feedback though dude!

ah that's intresting but I can understand that it can gt annoying sometimes, it's all personal choice I feel, and I think most of it is just getting settled into using the digital aide of things realy, my starting stuff definitelysucked compared to how you've started off so I think things will turn out fine. you can also change the image size after you've done a lot of work I thnk, you can also change canvas size but that clips off what you've done like cropping so mind that one. anything I can do to advise really

The only reason I say that is because I was working on a certain project, and I had some other settings messed up, so it was layering opacity with each stroke, it was so bad. I will try it again, since I am much more comfortable with the tablet as I've done multiple pieces on it now. This advice is much appreciated man, and thank you for your compliment on my skill level as such a new digital painter. As you know, stuff like this really helps us move forward and keep doing what we love.

Ah I see what you mean, it's interesting you say as layering opacity is often how I build up the colouring of things, having that control can be really useful though if you're able to get the colour the layering gets then you don't necessarily need it, sometimes if i'm blending two colours I'll deliberately lay a flat 50% opacity of one colour and use the resulting colour with the colour picker. I really found that the hardest part of learning digital art is that you have no answers often, I bought and poured through books and they seemed to just infuriate me trying to work something out but not really getting anything near what they had achieved, I think just those little tidbits that people offer really boost you, I got a big jump when I learned to use flow settings sometimes. I need to get around to putting my own stuff up again and maybe we can discuss some differences and techniques
