It depends on what your aiming for really...
do you want something faded into the image..
or a branding like my green & white logo which I've started putting onto mine.
I used to fade in the watermark...but now prefer the branding..stands out and looks more profesisonal.
I brand/watermark all my images with Photoshop CS3.
If you ever want a brand or something made up give me a holler and I'll be more than happy to do it for you for free

I used Irfan View and I used that to put my name on one picture. I might do that to all the others.
