The proportions of the monk himself are spot on in my eyes, and the colors of the background really draw attention to the monk himself. I must say I was floored when I had first seen this piece. Well done. Welldone indeed.

to be honest, when i first saw this, and seen digital art, i thought you took the picture of the monk, and then gave him the background... upon further, DETIALED, inspection, i caught little glimpses of things that made the monk a digital work too. you did great on this

Absolutely beautiful! I love the pose and my brain refuses to let me remember what it's called. But a beautiful piece! I love the colors and the lighting of this!

I like what you've done to the drawing.
I found the original online here: [link]
I like the saturated colors and the new background, but I wish that the monk had changed from the photo.

This is actually a work inspired by a real photo of a monk. With the same colors etc. Really nice re-visualisation though. Gives a great sense of dynamism. It is the background which makes this work unique. If the background is all your work, nice brush usage there. By the way the colors of the clothes seems a bit Fovist. Which of course put a great deal of eye-candy into the composition.
I've worked on the same monk sometime ago and would like to hear your comments on it. You can find it in my gallery with the name "Shaolin Priest: Agility Aspect".
Keep up the good work.
