Done for Magic the Gathering, Dragons of Tarkir. This was my favorite from the set, and a lot of fun. It is actually designed to have a similar composition to some of the background to another card which was released in one of the earlier Tarkir sets. Bonus points if anyone can figure out which one

A magic character? I would love to play the card game but I don't know if its fun or not. I would like to find out by playing any video game that has all the cards though

It's actually the symbol for the Ojutai clan. But yes, basically it's like an eyeball, I can't take credit for the design though. I tried to make it subtle enough to not distract from the rest of the image, but obvious enough to fill the requirements of the image description. That's a tough balance when doing energy effects, and one of the reasons I made sure the blue was close to the overall tones of the rest of the image, so it didn't stand out too much.

That's a good guess for the character, but its actually the background and composition that are designed to echo "Quiet Contemplation" magic.wizards.com/en/articles/…
