Do I hate it? I kinda do, I like the concept of it all but color palette is just such a no, it's such a no that drags this piece to the ground oh my god.This may be the result of me being cheeky and trying to only go the primary route because with these peices I do actually take time to go over possible color combos and the primary made it look so elementary and my purple just wasn't looking alive today so rip.
The inspo for the piece was the fact lately I've been aching to watch some magical girl anime from my childhood but haven't got the time or app to watch it on, but why not use the desire to make a childish piece.

I do enjoy the dynamic of the piece I just wish the palette could've been executed better, it looks so primary and the blue really shouldn't be in her hair.

tbh, I like the concept but the background is the one that kinda brings this piece down. The pink and yellow is ok, but the blue on her hair seems kinda out of place. And like I said, the background color is probably not the best.

Well I scrolled through your mermay entries and I think the problem is that you're used to the black and white definition of "mermaids were half fish" but that can fluctuate to so many ideas, you don't have to be entirely creative maybe start with basing the mermaids half body with a real life fish. Angelfish, trumpet fish, etc etc.
