A single tear glistened on Kayla’s cheek as she crossed into the orange jail block. The glow from her cheeks that appeared after Vicki invited her to a game night was gone. She had wanted to be invited for so long but now she regretted it.

Not only had Vicki invited her just to be her game piece, her friends laughed when she offered spiked seltzers to be enjoyed. The ungrateful gnats made her carry them around all night as she walked the boardwalk, fought hordes of archers and dodged planchettes conjuring spirits long past.

When the party started to break up, Kayla found herself unceremoniously pinned in the vast fields of Sorry and plunged into darkness. At least she had her drinks to keep her company.
