Ugh, I knew I shouldn’t let Chad borrow Maria. But he really needed a doll for his action figures to spend some time with. Since she was getting bored too, I figured she would enjoy it and get some of her personality back. I didn’t expect when Chad pulled her out of his jacket that she would have a ring on.

She didn’t want to show me at first, but I insisted. Obediently she offered me her hand and I studied the tiny chip on it. I told her to explain and she told me the story. Chad’s action figure Brad was missing companionship and carried his wife’s ring everywhere. Maria reminded Brad of his wife who had accidentally passed around a year stolen In the few days they were together he decided he wanted to marry her.

I asked if she felt the same and she nodded. I kissed her little head and said I had to consider all of this. She was one of my favorites. She told me that she understood and that they could have a long range relationship. I asked her if she thought that was fair for either of them and she sadly shook her head no.

Putting her away for the night I called up Chad. We talked for a good hour exploring several options. I eventually decided that since I really cared for Maria, she deserved to have Brad. Chad told me he understood and that he would find me someone to exchange for her. After explaining that no one could replace Maria, I accepted his offer.

Maria was asleep in her cage when I was done talking to Chad. Opening her cage I stroked her back. Expecting I was there to play she began slipping off her nightgown. I placed my hand on her to stop her and told her the decision. She was overjoyed to say the least. Although I was said and was going to miss her, seeing her happy warmed my heart.
