Yay, look who strayed so far away from the original design that it hurts people's brains. 
Mar'i Grayson is a Human/Tamaranean Hybrid and a "hero legacy," being the daughter of Starfire (Koriand'r) and Batman (Dick Grayson) taking on the name Nightstar. After meeting the newest Batman (Terry McGinnis) and Robin (Matt McGinnis) who were adopted by her "uncle" Damian, she took a fast liking to Matt. After a few years of team ups Matt and Mar'i decided to make their own team based on Dick Grayson's former team, calling themselves the "Teen Titans."

If we're going by comic designs, Blackfire was basically just Starfire in an eviler outfit... Her character had little to none originality.

yeah i like the Animated series design for Komand'r so much more even if it raises so many questions...in particular why she is the only one of her kind in the animated series that looks the way she does which led to alot of people thinking she was a half breed in the show...which would be great character motivation for her actions...but in all media versions komand'r is under utalized same with ryand'r actually the latter of which is never even mentioned in the show and was almost never shown in the comics...hell if i remember the comics right the only intresting thing about Koma is she was constanly switching sides like she was bored or somethingΒ

Honestly, I think I'd enjoy Koma a bit mote if she was a half breed, it'd explain her power development issues, and why Kori was chosen to rule over the oldest child. And I think Ry could be an even better character with a New 52 reboot.

Nightstar is one of my favorite characters to come from the pages of Kingdom Come. Nicely done on her.Β

She existed in a storyline called "Kingdom Come" which was basically twenty to thirty years in the future.. There's a lot of couple pairings with Mar'i and Damian Wayne because in the story there was a character that just so happened to be the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul named Ibn Al Xu'ffasch, which translates into "Son of The Bat."

Not really, considering in Starfire's origin her powers are kinda augmented in alien tests, so her starblast thing isn't one of her natural powers... In fact a lot of aliens have similar solar power based abilities like Superman, Starfire would be powerless without a yellow sun.
