It's funny that you say that because somebody accused me of plagiarism yesterday over this one. Though I swear I never read this punchline in Bone lol.

There are no punchlines in Bone. Bone is a self-contained, 1400-page long comic book story, and in the Bone universe, winter comes almost instantaneously. It doesn't play a big part in the overall plot but it's very memorable because the story lasts one full year, so we see winter coming twice - once in the beginning, once at the end.

Honestly, even if you had lifted the idea directly from Bone, I still wouldn't call that plagiarism because the execution couldn't be more different.
