Description
|About:A quick free Journal+Gallery CSS to use for deviantArt subscribers I made just for fun. You must have a subscription in order to use the contents of this package.
|Inside
There two different txt files inside the Wood CSS Pack Folder. And obviously, one .txt is for the Journal and the other one for the gallery. You just need to copy and paste the code from the .txts to the respective fields in the respective boxes in the submission dialogs inside deviantArt.
There are a few notes inside each header description elements so you can have a clearest idea of what each one of those precise fields do.
Please, be kind and do not remove the code which points to this deviation to people to download this package. You can use this code to learn how to create your own CSS journal or gallery, but if you decide to stay with my design, it would be great if you leave those links untouched. I leave the decision to your common sense if you know what I mean.
The code has been tested on Firefox 3.0.3 and Opera 9.5/9.6 and it works pretty good. I´m not a IE user and I strongly recommend to not to use it, however it works in a very close way and the differences are very subtle, but well, they are. I´m not going to give support to IE users in order to use this package properly in the same way that the other browsers do. Same for Safari/Camino users.
All images are already uploaded to imageshack, so you can just get rid of that step.
If you have any troubles using this package, send me a note or leave me a comment and I will try to help you.
|Credits
Wood pattern is originally created by Henri Liriani
|Terms of use
The contents of this package are free to use/open source. You can use the code to create your own journal and galleries or whatever you want. I only ask for keeping the links that point to this deviation if you use the content of the package as it is.

Ah ok. I like it, that damask bg gives it a little more contrast than the original. Good work.

you have to paste the code to the style tab when editing your gallery folders.
Go to your gallery folder, click "edit" (blue color button), then "options", then "style" tab.
Hope it helps.

Sorry man, don´t know what are you talking about. Maybe it is because the new gruze style of dA, that unfortunately I don´t use, but there are people who managed to use the css following the same instructions I gave to you.
Anyways, make sure you click the edit button inside your folders.

i like it. ...but even more i like that amazing preview image.
for the actuall CSS i think the colors could be a little less 'intensive'.
more like this one, you know?
perhaps it would be okay with you if i'd take your code, upload some altered images to my webspace and edit the graphics links accordingly?
or maybe you feel inspired by this and make another CSS?
that would be even more great, as i'm not really familiar with all the necessities in CSS coding.
anyways...
...you've once again created some amazing design to spice up an everyday item like a journal or gallery. sharing this CSS with us can't be more appreciated.
thank you!

Looks great to me man. Glad to see you added your own touch to the CSS. I told you it was not so hard, the same that worked for the background goes to the other parts of the code
Btw I have a proposal for you, I´m working on a Open Source Vs, would you like to make a CD art display skin for it?

oh, of course i would.
it would be quite an honor.
any preview images to look at, so i would get an idea of what i'd be dealing with?

I think I pulled it off !
I didn't put the links to my gallery and all that, but I left a link to this deviation in case people want to use it. And so they don't think I made the CSS
It's beautiful and I love it!

Bobbyperux In reply to laurart [2008-11-19 11:20:58 +0000 UTC]
Thank you very much
May I ask you why you didn´t change the links?. Too much messy code maybe?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
laurart In reply to Bobbyperux [2008-11-20 06:09:09 +0000 UTC]
Oh, it's not that I changed them, I just didn't put them in the first place
I don't have a website and I didn't see a point to put a link to my dA gallery...
And about the codes, I know nothing about CSS, so a little or too much is the same for me
I changed the colours of some fonts because they were too dark, I hope it's ok with you. If you don't like people changing your design just tell me please.
and again, I'm super happy with your CSS, it's gorgeous

There´s no problem by changing the link colors.
Enjoy it

The original artist of the pattern is Henri Liriani.
Could you please link me to the original pattern file, I've been desperately searching for it for days now.
Cheers (:
