Here is another beautiful color design by Michael Greenholt.From my comic Alcatraz High. [link]
I am the creator and penciler.
It's cool to see these panels blown up and appreciate some of the background characters. I tried to make each kid look distinctive and each reacting to Steve running through the cafeteria in different ways. Some are surprised, some pissed off, some confused. Mike's choice of nauseating green helps convey the unappetizing nature of the school cafeteria. Plus the dull green helps pop the the bright red Force field windows!

Alcatraz High is already out. 4 Gun will premiere at this years' San Diego Comic Con.

The only advice that I can give right now would be to just "keep drawing" and keep on learning as much as you can from teachers, blogs, etc...
I wish my comic was out in Australia, but for now I only sell them at San Diego Comic Con and Wonder Con in Oakland.

Thanks! It's easy to get lazy, because people usually don't look at the background characters. If I have the time, I try make an effort.
