So my friends and coworkers, Everett Downing and Austin Madison were talking about the new Batman story arc. Admittedly, I haven't read the new Batman arc, because I am waiting for the trade. It's what happens when I miss an issue, anyways eventually the discussion turned to Nightwing, who is my favorite DC character. I told them I wasn't too thrilled with the new costume. I'm not digging the red and black. He looks like Daredevil to me. So Austin says, well you know we gotta do Nightwing drawings! Nightwing needs some type of help, I agree. Never understood the idea of body armor but leaving the head exposed.

I like the use of the more pronounced cape. It meshes VERY well with the design.
Kinda sad it isn't standard - Nightwing looks like he's missing something without.

Better than the redesigns coming from the new 52 that's for sure. This has swag and makes practical sense. The 52 designs look like the old costumes with some tech lines for no reason.

Damn, this a great look for him!! But Dick doesn't like capes, took him a while to get used to wearing one when he was Batman during Bruce's absence. But, hell, this is a way better design than his current red and black one. Red just doesn't look right on him.

I think it would be cool if the cape can retract, kinda like the Dark Knight movie. That way he can use the cape when he needs it to hide or fly.

It seems alot like Batman's costume, except alot more sleek. That's good, as I have no doubt Dick Grayson would take some pointers from the Batman.

I always thought the cape would just get in Dick's way since he's such a good acrobat. It might make sense for him to have extendable wings under his arms like Terry McGinnis. I do like the mask.

Thanks! I will be the first to admit that it is Gatchaman influenced. Gatchaman are bird ninjas and I think that Nightwing should look like them.
