I know I'm repeating myself, but this topic is still relevant -after 7+ years!Spongebob certainly was out of character in those episodes, but that doesn't mean he acts like this consistently in post-movie.
Speaking of which, remember when Mr. Enter said Spongebob has no good nature in his original "One Coarse Meal" review?
Episodes like Skill Crane, Best Day Ever, Bucket Sweet Bucket, Single Cell Anniversary and Love That Squid beg to differ.
Shout-out to Good Neighbors, Giant Squidward and Cephalopod Lodge where Spongebob apologizes and tries to make up for his mistakes.

Sure, A Pal for Gary and Choir Boys are considered mediocre, but I still like SpongeBob and will always be a fan of him (maybe I'll just pretend the former never even happened).

Boating Buddies and Choir Boys are almost the same episode for me - as well as most people. But I wasn't ignoring it, just not mentioning it. SB have had many infamous appearances and I didn't wanna list them all.

I'm just gonna say it, i'm just gonna say it... Spongebob is way too hated for convenience! he doesn't deserve half the hate he gets. i've been thinking about this more and more. and it's just come to the point where i've decided Spongebob really is a good character, and i'm not gonna judge him for his bad appearances. i may not love the guy, but i do think the hate he gets is way too over dramatic. he's treated like he's a devil and people constantly say they "i wanna beat the sXXX out of him" or "i run him over", or "when he dies, it will be a celebration".
And i definitely agree with you when you argue against people saying, Spongebob has no good nature. and i don't think Skill Crane, Best Day Ever, Bucket Sweet Bucket, Single Cell Anniversary and Love That Squid are the only episodes that beg to differ. there's also, Enchanted Tiki Dreams, Treats, Frozen Face Off (let me explain for this one, Spongebob did had Gary tug a sled with him and all of his friends on it, but when he sees Gary in true pain, he brings him in and refuses to let him tone another inch), and there might be a few more, i just can't think of them right now.
Spongebob is nowhere near as bad as people claim it out to be.
And a bonus note, if i didn't already say, i think Patrick deserves credit when he cheered Spongebob up in the episode A Squarepants Family Vacation (yes, i like that episode. so what?) it was closer to the end where Spongebob believes the vacation was ruined, but Patrick showed Spongebob that they did what everything they wanted to do at the vacation while they were lost in the forest. just in a different form. i think Patrick deserves TONS of credit for that. if you can get your mind of the bad Patrick episodes, you might be able to see that Patrick isn't really that bad of a guy.
I'm planning on making a drawing of Mario cheering up Spongebob. yeah, two underrated characters.

I agree.I still hate Choir Boys and APFG but that doesn't mean I should hate SpongeBob.I watched SpongeBob ever since I was a baby and I still love the show to this day!

You know what other episode doesn't deserve hate? Karate Island! People bash on that episode just because it was ranked #1 during the Best Day Ever Marathon. I mean, really. That's a stupid reason for people to hate on it. I love that episode.
