Celestia just wants to leave and get donuts. The chefs are taking too long.A big ole comp for you guys. I'm proud of it, I think I did her justice. I don't think it's a good display of what I'm capable of though, maybe that's just because I know more now than I did when I was drawing it. Oh well, art and learn right? The next one will be even better, and then the one after that and the one after that. In particular I learned quite a bit about values. I've never been too great at contrast and this helped me understand that a lot better. I really needed to improve the color balance and the overall believability of the light, not to mention my furniture is still mostly just symbols, but I have to call it quits at some point and that some point is now. Anyways, I've already got my next comp planned, but it may be a bit. I have some other... plans... in the making. Plans I'm rather excited about. Plans you'll hear of as soon as I get them going.
In the meantime though, have a bored Celestia!

Poor Celestia. The mane 6 should hurry up and eat with her. At least with her own sister. Although, it's morning. Meaning Luna would be sleeping. :/ That sucks. But again at least her own faithful student/friend should eat with her.

C: *sigh* And yet, I am at the mercy of my chefs for a single breakfast.
Luna: Good morning sister. Ate well this morning?
C: Ate? I didn't get any so far. I'm still waiting for a single orange juice.
L: WHAT?!? That's outrageous!
C: I understand, but I prefer to...
L: Allow me sister.
C: L-luna?
L: Ahem! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! IF ANYPONY DON'T BRING US ANY FOOD ON THIS TABLE IN FRONT OF MY BELOVED SISTER AT THIS INSTANT, I WILL PERSONALLY SEND THE CULPRITS IN THE DUNGEON FOR...
At this instant several ponies gathered at her table with muffins, fruits, different fresh pastries, a pitcher full of orange juice and eggs.
L: See? You only had to RAISE YOU VOICE!
C: That is quite... umm... nice of you, Luna. But...
Chef: We are so sorry your highness.
Chef2: We had problems in the kitchen and the pastries were not perfect..
Chef3: We tried the best we could to correct them....
Chef4: And the orange juice wasn't fully ready.
C1: Please, PLEASE!!!! Don't send us in the dungeon.
C: You don't have to worry. I wouldn't never do that for such frivolities.
They all showed relief.
C: As for my sister...
They all beg for forgiveness to the lunar princess.
L: All right! All right! Stop this instant. I won't. This time. Now, go!
They all left, leaving the sisters eating in peace.
C: This was not the correct way, but....Thank you Luna.
L: You are very welcome Tia.
C: You are not eating with me?
L: Oh! Umm. I ate something on the way back. Here, I brought you some.
She put a box of doughnuts on the table beside a cake.
C: D-doughnuts?
L: Fresh from this morning. I knew you would love to have some. Enjoy! I'm going to bed. Good day sister!
C: Good day Luna. Thank you for the doughnuts.
L: Don't mention it. Just leave a cake for me tonight, okay?
C: *giggle* I will.
Wonderful work. When you have a long table that you use mostly only the ends. Beautiful decor.

You did an excellent job displaying Celestia's distress as she waits. However, by the way she's staring out the window I think there's just as much anxiety to get out and start living the beautiful day as there is rumbling in her royal belly. Neat how she looks so small compared to all the regal majesty that surrounds her, perhaps as much her feelings at times.

Along with the lovely work on the princess, especially the extra helping of cute, you did an awesome job on the grand dining hall. Lighting does a great job with the overall mood too. Now let's hope they serve some food soon and then Celestia gets to go out and play for a change.π: 0 β©: 1
