Description
I almost wrote "Dragon's Balls", "sensing ChiChi", and "instant transmission" by accident. xDWhy did I think it was a good idea to try and draw Alphonse from that angle...? >A< Argh~! I mean.. he looks ok... but that was hard.... TT_TT

This is so cute. I don't remember the kids name, but she(or he) has very cute design and I love how childishly innocent she/he is.
You did good job at aging up Al, he actually looks like he's 30+ years old, I'm annoyed by lot of other older designs for Al(and Ed as well) that make them too young and bishonen looking, this Al actually looks like a grown man(I love his sideburns).
I think it looks bit off probably, because of the shape of his chin and maybe nose(I feel like I should be seeing the other nostril as well).
I really admire you for drawing a comic by hand, it's lot of effort(I have tried it). You managed to make the panel layout and the speech bubbles very professional looking and your art style actually reminds me of canon.

Thanks!! : DĀ
Aging Al was tricky but I'm happy with how he turned out. I didn't want to give him a regular beard like Hohenheim and Ed. (Ed has a full beard at this point in my imaginary world.)
Bishonen looking Elric brothers bother me (unless it's from Mei's fantasies xD) I love Arakawa's art style! Her characters aren't too thin or perfectly shaped like most anime characters. I love the round faces she draws!
I think you're right about Al's nose. I knew it was off, but it was the hardest thing to draw in this entire comic! But I wanted to draw him from that angle because I wanted to show how Lei sees him, looking up from below.Ā
Actually, I have a harder time drawing with a tablet. xD Digital art is HARD. The coloring is easy, but the drawing is not.. at least not for me....
Thanks so much for the honestly and pointing out mistakes! Usually peeple just say, "That was cute/funny." and that's it.
And this style reminds you of canon? I'll take that as the biggest compliment!! Ā

Drawing characters looking older than they are in canon is definately the hardest part. I do like the idea of both Ed and Al having beard/other facial hair once they are older, but with Ed it's trying to make him look not too much alike with Hohenheim will probably be the issue for me, and with Al it's the issue of trying to give him something different from Ed and Hohenheim(and not copying your idea), I doubt mustache would suit Al all that well.
Al is almost bishonen in canon, but he's still pretty masculine(the angular jaw) compared to the classic bishonen(and much shorter haired). I also love the canon style, because the characters aren't generic looking and there is pretty good variety of bodybuilds, and all of them are pretty realistic in porpotion.
Noses are really difficult to draw even straight ahead, it's also hard to see what's wrong with your own drawing, other than "something". You did really well with the angle, the next time it's probably bit easier and you have an idea about what the issues with it are.
I can't really draw with tablet either. My tablet drawn art looks like a little kid drew it(I'm very clumsy with it), while my hand drawn art is much better(not that I'm extremely good artist, the porpotions are pretty wrong still). I find shading the most difficult thing about art.
I like giving people some feedback, since the mindless praise is pretty useless. Not that I would comment if I don't have anything positive to comment either, because then I just upset the person whose work I comment on.
Your style is really close to the canon, there is some difference, but that might just be because you are copying another artists style, so something of your own style is pushing through and makes it look bit off. My own drawings of my FMA ocs don't really look like they are drawn in the same style as canon(I can't make the faces wide/large/big enough, since with my own style I draw pretty long and narrow faces).
