Description
This was made with liamwhite1 's variation of Inkscape (Icon pending [I guess?]).Opening this in Inkscape will work. However, the tapered strokes will be fills instead, but that shouldn't affect too much.
I thought I'd give this a try. The tapered stroke LPE works very well, and the file size wasn't much bigger than a normal Inkscape vector. Also, having the "ellipse by 5 points" an LPE, rather than an extension, was very useful. The rendering was much faster and more responsive than ponyscape, even while rendering the tapers and things.
As for what could be improved, adding different end tapers to account for this (sta.sh/09kltmo474a) would be a nice feature. Also, having different taper smoothing values for each end might prove useful. All things considered, I would definitely recommend trying Pony2Ink (I think that's what it's been dubbed) when it is finished.

I suppose such an icon will never be made now that Pony2Ink will be merged into Inkscape main trunk.

I guess the normal Inkscape icon can be used now. I'm glad to see these features will finally be added to Inkscape.
