Thanks for the comment. As you will know, much of northern Britain has lost its industry and you often find individual buildings like this one dotted around a desolate landscape. Like a starfish after the tide has gone out, except the tide will never come back in.

I am so ashamed to say that as a photography student who took countless images of this clock as it was a couple of metres from the college I never noticed it didn't have hands. Perhaps shows why I didn't do too fab in tart course!
