She happens to be a very talented upcoming hypnotist character for your strip.
Now look, Sunburst, I'd really like to do you a favour for old times sake, but...
Now that is a pity. Cause I was in Ponyville last week and I was only saying to Vinyl Scratch-
Huh? Vinyl Scratch? I-I thought she was still on an extended tour...
Vinyl? Now I ask you, can you see a pony like her staying on tour for that long?
Sunburst? What are you getting at? You didn't tell her I was still drawing, did you?
Well, to tell you the truth, I didn't really know what to do. She was in a very anxious state. Very anxious indeed.
Kept talking about some unfinished business for suffering at the hooves of a motherly mare...

In case it's not pretty obvious, I'm a very big Gerry Anderson 'Supermarionation' fan. Personal favourite series? Well, they all have different things going for them, though Thunderbirds is probably the most 'polished' overall. I do have something of a soft spot for 'The Secret Service' though, a series I think some of you may have never heard of!

Each winter when the roads are covered in ice and snow I wish I had double front axles, Nokian Hakkapelitta tyres, and a warm, soft cuddly Pone.

Shouldn't really matter in this instance. FAB1's driver seat is in the middle of the vehicle. As such, it has no left/right hand drive

Supermarionation is certainly an interesting thing, but probably most people are only familiar with the style from "Team America: World Police" (made by the same people behind South Park). And they were DELIBERATELY doing a parody by keeping the strings visible.
(There's also the 2004 live-action reboot of Thunderbirds, but that bombed pretty badly so most people have forgotten about it by now...)

Over here in the UK people still only really know of it from Thunderbirds and the like. It's still very much in the public eye. Retro merchandising, parodies and homages, and reruns are still quite common. There were even three new episodes made in 2015 for the shows 50th anniversay:
