She happens to be a very talented upcoming hypnotist character for your strip.
Now look, Sunburst, I'd really like to do you a favour for old times sake, but...
Now that is a pity. Cause I was in Ponyville last week and I was only saying to Vinyl Scratch-
Huh? Vinyl Scratch? I-I thought she was still on an extended tour...
Vinyl? Now I ask you, can you see a pony like her staying on tour for that long?
Sunburst? What are you getting at? You didn't tell her I was still drawing, did you?
Well, to tell you the truth, I didn't really know what to do. She was in a very anxious state. Very anxious indeed.

In case it's not pretty obvious, I'm a very big Gerry Anderson 'Supermarionation' fan. Personal favourite series? Well, they all have different things going for them, though Thunderbirds is probably the most 'polished' overall. I do have something of a soft spot for 'The Secret Service' though, a series I think some of you may have never heard of!

Space: 1999 and UFO were the ones I found to be fairly interesting, as well as Thunderbirds. I never got around to watching many episodes, but what I did see I liked. The opening sequences and music are all amazing.

Fun Trivia Fact: the Andersons would model their puppets after live people. For instance, Destiny Angel, from Captain Scarlet, was modeled after Ursula Andress, the first Bond Girl.
But Lady Pamela was modeled after Sylvia Anderson, in face, style and personality. And she didn't know about it for years. Says something about how Gerry felt about his wife.

I've known about the modelling of puppets on real people. The 'James Garner incident' concerning Troy Tempest in Stingray comes to mind. Sean Connery was imitated a few times with Scott Tracy, Captain Paul Travers of the Zero-X, and Captain Grey. The most incredible example is probably the character of Father Unwin in The Secret Service, an exact replica of the face of Stanley Unwin, who voice him (And doubled for him in some of the live action inserts!)

I find it a little hard to believe Sylvia had no idea she was the inspiration for Lady Penelope. Given she voiced the character, came up with the concept for the character (And nearly all the other Anderson characters!), designed some of her outfits, consulted the sculptures... there's just too much she personally did for her not to know
