Real talk. That episode Rarity Investigates was actually pretty awesome
I really loved the LA Noire theme and how it has Rarity look for clues based on clothing (the scarf and her clothes lol) but the ending kinda was really rushed. It was kinda obvious that Wind Rider was to blame. But besides that, Soarin got more speaking lines
. As a Soarindash fan, some people thought that it was a fail because of Soarin's attitude towards Dash. But you guys gotta understand that Soarin is second in command and he had no choice and has to follow the rules. He also gave Rainbow Dash a chance to prove her innocence. Also, it shows that Soarin is more than a pie loving goofball. He is serious about his job and his team.Towards the end of the episode, while Rainbow Dash was doing her dance thang, Soarin calls out to her and she gave him dat blush 
. (Idek xD)So overall, I would give this episode 8/10. Hopefully we get to see more Soarin throughout the season(s).

He was under a lot of pressure and had to be strict as the one in charge during Spitfire's absence, but by looking at those screenshots it looks like he was actually crying on the inside for being so harsh T______T

RickTheGamer said something to the effect that Big Hero 6 did a better job of hiding the identity of the villain. Well there's a reason for that.
In Big Hero 6, there was more than one suspect. Really. At first, I thought that it was Krei, because, you know... Corporation=Satan.
Anyway, IΒ kept thinking it was Krei... until Fred named him as the prime suspect. That, for me, knocked Krei right out of the villain contention. I thought, "No. I've, at least, watched enough of these superhero movies to know that it's waaaaaay too early in the movie for the heroes to figure out who the villain is." So, that left either Callaghan or Tadashi.
But here, aside from Rainbow Dash herself, the ONLY suspectΒ is Wind Rider.

I was brokenhearted when Soarin told Dash he would have no choice but to ban her if she didn't find the culprit. I can't totally blame him though, Wonderbolts rules are harsh and she drew a lot of attention to herself fangasming all the time about Wing Rider (maybe he even got a little jealous and that made him even more upset LOL *hides*).
My favorite parts were when he told she would be talking to him if Rarity wasn't there (I don't know if it was intentional for fanservice reasons, but that was hella flirty), and in the end, when he asks her to fly with them and she does her little dance and then he calls out for her and she blushes and he gives her that look, aaaawwwwwwΒ Β
I loved to see a less soft side of Soarin too. We all know he's a cinnamon roll, but he knows how to get serious when he needs to. No wonder why he is second in command.Β Β

Personally, I thought Soarin' would be more trusting of Rainbow Dash, especially after calling out the Wonderbolts on their dismissive and uncharitable attitude towards each other, particularly towards him. Still, in the same episode, Rainbow Dash proved that she could resort to dishonesty if she felt pressured in a situation. In the end, I had to admit that he approached the situation in with an even head, which is an amazing jump from the little amount of character we saw in previous episodes (though I did kind of want to see him to be the one to overtly stand in her defense).

I personally thought Soarin was being the most reasonable member. Β He probably could have kicked her out right away, or hauled her away for questioning in a security area, but instead he gave her a chance to prove her innocence. Β I doubt any of the other members would have done that for her.

This episode is now my favorite episode of the season thanks to Soarin being in it. Seriously, I was NOT expecting Soarin to play such a huge role in the episode, geez. You don't know how many times I fangirled during this episode because of him. It was also nice to see the more serious and strict side of him, really gives off a different view of him other than being a silly and flimsy type of character XD and the return of his love of pie was a perfect touch!

Honestly, I felt like Soarin's attitude towards Dash was a LOT more apathetic than that of the other wonderbolts. In fact, he seemed like the only level headed one! In fact, I remember one of the others mumbling 'She should be suspended!' Soarin's just seemed like he was doing his job as a second-in-command. Plus I think he gave her some leeway with the whole 'If you can prove it was somepony else, then youre off the hook'. Wonderbolts be STRICT, yo'Β
Anyway, good episode overall. Soarin was adorable as ever and Dashie and Soarin together is ALWAYS a good thing!Β Also, fantastic pic! It's simply adorable!!

Yeah, every single Wonderbolt seems to be jerks in the show (even the new one!). As you said; Soarin seems to be the only "good" Wonderbolt out there, though I believe he was a bit more apathetic in his attitude due to the events of "Rainbow Falls". Either way, it's shipping fuel for both me and SoarinDash fans.

I didn't quite mind Soarin's reactions to things, I mean, it IS a natural reaction and he didn't respond with anger or blame. He simply stated facts, and was speaking properly for the group.
Though as a group, I gotta say, BOY am I unimpressed by the Wonderbolts. XD They aren't horrid or anything, and I'm not making any big sweeping statements about them as a whole, but it was a pretty clunky series of events here. I think basically I'm just verrry confused about where they got off blaming Rainbow Dash almost instantly. I understand some unsureness and doubt, and lack of trust, but they outright accused her of the crime. Followed by telling the guilty to prove themselves innocent. What.... This is where you hire a detective and law enforcement, isn't it? Or at least keep someone impartial around? What's to stop RD and Rarity from faking evidence...? Though I guess I'm just over thinking it.
The episode was so delightful despite that. Rarity and Rainbow Dash pairing was something entirely new, at least for the focus of an entire episode, such a treat!
