Pleasedon'tsaytrixiepleasedon'tsaytrixiepleasedon'tsaytrixie...Everybody's questioning whether or not Jack Pot knows he has a daughter. Meanwhile, I'm sat here pondering, "But does he know she tends to speak in third person?". It gets more amusing the more you think about it!
I'm probably going to sound like a horrible person, but the idea of Jack Pot not knowing that he has a daughter really amuses me! So that's certainly the route I'm taking till the show says otherwise!

Jackpot" and already a pony?" Still trying to think that it be, Silverstar no, then again she looks too much like me, maybe golden ticket? I highly doubt it was building suspense, after all, I saw her sleep with the other guy too, that rather a gorgeous Pegasus, not to mention that gorgeous stallion. Oh, Stellar Flare?
The problem with your parents are both well-known magicians, and their ships are always just sailing across! PS: by the way will never get the correct answer is building Suspense! And now knowing her history. I'm now picturing Trixie, discovering that she has a long-lost brother, wearing a bright red vast, has hair looking like two little horns sticking out of his head, which now gives me the image of everybody calling Apollo Triceratops!

I really hope you're right and Jackpot doesn't know he has a daughter. The show has dealt with serious topics with varying levels of success before, so I don't think an episode about these two would be too much to ask.

You know, it makes me wonder if Hasbro or the writer used Pixar's Coco story to describe Trixie's relationship with her father? There's quite a few similarities there, like the father missing without a trace when Trixie is young, Trixie's mother thought her husband has forgotten them...

Well, if it's not in the show, it's not cannon.
But for Hasbro MLP, they are more inconsistent than other shows I know, so it's hard to say.

Yeah, I've read the Twitter feed, still, the show didn't indicate anything as of now. Who knows if Hasbro decided to drop or adopt it, just like Bon Bon/Sweetie Drop name, and lastly, they adopt both names.

It was actually different: The name Jackpot already appeared in Trixie's own profile. It just turns out it's the name of the magician. And honestly, there had been canon declared with less stuff (the whole Bon Bon thing was due to HASBRO using both names, as well as both names appearing in the show's credits, I think). Remember the pony we thought was Dashie's dad due to her being with him in a filly flashback? He WAS Dashie's dad. Honestly, this is canon until they have a Trixie centric episode about that... probably a Starlight episode, because of course.

Trixie sighed. "Trixie isn't terribly surprised that you don't know who she is. Mother did say that Trixie's father was some no-good two-bit magician who knocked her up and then ran off as soon as she told him she was expecting."
Jack Pot tugged at his shirt collar. "So, uh, that's how she described me, eh? Oh, um, who was your mother, exactly?"
Trixie frowned. "Sunflower Fields. Unicorn, orange coat, yellow mane, sunflower cutie mark? And technically, her descriptions of you involved a lot more expletives, but Trixie likes to keep things classy."
"Right, right. Sunflower Fields, Sunflower Fields..." Sweat was beginning to bead on Jack Pot's forehead as he tried to sort through long-past liaisons and one-night-stands to identify the one that produced to young mare in front of him.
Trixie raised an eyebrow as her father tried to dredge up memories of her mother. "Trixie had gathered from casino gossip that her father is a shameless womanizer, but this is just sad."
The stallion in question chuckled nervously. "Heh, eh, I suppose so, yes. Uh, how old are you?"
"Twenty-seven."
Jack Pot nodded. "All right, good, that narrows it down." He thought for a while, then gave Trixie a vaguely ashamed smile. "Um, what month were you born in?"
"Aargh!"

Trixie bobs her head in the affirmative.
Suddenly in a flash Glimmer finds herself with Trixie wondering how the hell she got there and why is she a foal again!!!

JP: "You became one to find him? Was he one too?"
GaPT: "Uh...yes...his name is Jackpot."
JP: "Huh...huh...(realization hits) AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So, what you're saying is, you're my...?!"
GaPT: "Yeah...I guess it's hard to believe huh?"
JP: "WAIT! WHICH ONE IS YOUR MOTHER?! (long list of mares) NO! The colors are all wrong!"
GaPT: "JUST HOW MANY MARES HAVE YOU BEEN WITH!?"
