I always planned for these two pieces to be a couple.

So, twenty four hours have now passed. Honestly, I'm surprised at how much better I feel in just that short amount of time. Though I think this might be in part to it all coming to head just as I was about to go to bed last night. Sure, it sounds sad, but in all honesty, I'm glad I did feel that down, it was quite a nice relief after being in 'emotional limbo' for the day!
Y'know, I think I'm going to be all right.
I'm not quite brave enough to listen to 'The Magic of Friendship Grows' again just yet though!
Also, I really like the design of older Rainbow Dash.

Uuuuugh...Seeing Rarity with that gray streak always gets me.
I wasn't ready for this show to end and seeing the Mane 6 grow up so much is still a little hard, even if the finale was amazing.

So, even though it looks like Twilight will outlive her friends after all, I can't imagine a happier ending to the show and the Mane Six. What a great nine years it's been.

Personally headcannon here: Princess magic is stored in the garments Twilight wear, she only remains that youthful whilst wearing them. Naturally, this means Luna and Celestia would revert to the build of regular ponies in their retirement.
It gives the option for Twilight to abdicate the throne and grow old with friends when they retire from their own careers

NOOOOOOOooooooo but seriously how big is that age gap I keep wondering after that ending. I am still happy that it finally over, I still haven't come to full terms that its actually finally over. I need to draw something for it soon

Yeah, I'm still mourning a bit myself, but I'm slowly recovering each day. Hopefully, I'll be back to normal within a week. If not, I make it two weeks at best. There's a ton of old shows I've seen as a kid that still air that can help me overcome my sadness for the time being.
As for this piece that follows up on your other one of the Mane Six, you did a great job on it. Very beautiful work.
