I always planned for these two pieces to be a couple.

So, twenty four hours have now passed. Honestly, I'm surprised at how much better I feel in just that short amount of time. Though I think this might be in part to it all coming to head just as I was about to go to bed last night. Sure, it sounds sad, but in all honesty, I'm glad I did feel that down, it was quite a nice relief after being in 'emotional limbo' for the day!
Y'know, I think I'm going to be all right.
I'm not quite brave enough to listen to 'The Magic of Friendship Grows' again just yet though!
Also, I really like the design of older Rainbow Dash.

Seeing Twilight looking more like Celestia, reminded me that some people think Twilight is immortal due to being an alicorn. For me, I refuse to believe that because Hasbro and DHX never outright admitted she's immortal. I'd just believe that Twilight is as old as her friends and will likely pass away around the same time as her friends.
Part of the reason I'm saying this is because of how Twilight's friends have aged, you know with the baggy eyes. Honestly I'd rather believe Twilight isn't immortal unless the creators of the show outright admit it. Sure Celestia and Luna are 1000 years old, but I consider them special cases. I mean Cadence and Flurry Hearts are alicorns too.

I used to think that ascended Alicorns like Cadance and Twilight are mortal, unlike Celestia, Luna and Flurry Heart, who were born as Alicorns. That headcanon was based on Meghan McCarthy's old statement that Twilight wouldn't outlive her friends, but it looks like that statement is no longer true. Sadly, the writers of the show never really seemed to bother to keep up with each others' "official" canon, so quite a few things got retconned over the years. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, though. I'm fine with immortal Princess Twilight, because I know she'll always remember her friends and at least she'll have Spike with her for an extremely long time.

It amazes me that so many people are grief-struck over this show in the exact same way. The morning after I watched the finale twice, I started sobbing uncontrollably. Today, I had brief flashes of crying and grinding my teeth.
No other show finale has slammed my heart that way MLP's finale did. This is because no other show kick-started my creativity so profoundly or for so long. I've been a brony for exactly six years and I've never regretted it.
The heart breaks, but the heart heals. Working on pony stuff, like this cool drawing, is the best way to push through the post-finale blues. I plan to do the same with my pony stuff.

I'm in the same boat. I've tried watching the last 3 again, but I get 30 seconds in and cant.
I'm gonna try to watch the series again from the beginning. Maybe at the end of the first 219 episodes I'll be able to watch it again.
I feel the same way too about "we're gonna be fine." I'm def still seeing 'finale tribute' artwork, but at the same time I'm still seeing casual sketches and art. Not of finale scenes but just, a cute picture of Fluttershy, one of Shining and Cadance, a landscape piece of Ponyville, things are already going back to 'normal', well, whatever that is at this point.
Without a doubt, fan content will go down over time, that's just a fact of life, but we're still here for a long time to come.

I've listened to that song multiple times now and each time at the end as they stand together upon the hill as the book closes...it gets me every time. God what an amazing show to get me to feel this way.
