Do you like....waffles?Something of a parody of 1950s domesticity... that is all.

This thing was pretty much finished a month ago, then I went to LA, got a butt load of new records, got distracted, lost my mojo, lost interest in ponies, became lazy.. etc. I'm still kind of in a funk but at least I got this done, it was bugging me for a while.

I LOVE this pic so much. I don't really do the whole shipping thing but the two fan relationships I do think should exist are Fluttermac and Scoots+Featherweight (strictly as a puppy-love thing until their both grown ponies, mind you)

I agree that young lovers aren't as aware of the complexities of love, but I'm not entirely sure if saying that don't know what "real" love is would be totally accurate. Just as mechanical objects with fewer working parts (like a bike) breaks down less often than objects with more working parts (like a car), a relationship without knowlage of sex is less likely to break than one with it. Eventually, "those" kind of feelings will come about, but sorting those kinds of things out is part of growing up and becoming more emotionally mature. Look at the relationship between Scootaloo and Featherweight in the "Scootaloo's personal Diary" fanfic by Tails-155. I think you might change your mind, after you read it. As I said before, I never fully liked the idea of shipping in any fictional context until I saw the FeatherweightxScootaloo relationship told through the eyes of Scoots in Tails' fic. Also, please note that the referance to Tail's fic was merely ment to help explain my position on the matter, not shamlessly plug a fic I like.

I have a feeling you do do the shipping thing based on your defense. A fanfic can cure any doubts about a relationship if written well enough and I've read most of the fic you describe but it was a while ago. They can have close friendship now but intimacy and true understanding of their feelings come much later, so I let it be.
