Description This is my most current painting. It took meabout 2 weeks to do. It is in acrylic on illustration board. I was using a new technique to do it. Its a different way to start the painting. That made it very interesting. I hope that you guys enjoy it!

Thank you ver much. Yes, they are very different. They each require slightly different techniques. There are certain "tricks" to learn for acrylics to be able to blend them, etc.

It's awesome as usual Could you share what different technique you had approached? Did you have to prime the illustration board in a certain way? Thank you for any anwer

What I did was, after drawing out my painting I covered the entire thing in a fairly dark color wash. Since the painting is mostly purples I did an entirely purple wash. Then I started painting ontop of the purple base. It changes the thickness of paint I have to use to get colors and my color perception in general. It also helps in the background, since there is already purple, there was less work to do in some areas.

Aww thank you so much for the tip. However, if yopu covered up your drawing with "fairly dark cover wash" how could you see your drawing well enough? But I have heard of this technique before. Thank you for your answer!

Well, you have to draw pretty dark in the begining, and it does make it harder to see. But you can still make everything out if you drew it strong enough.
