That's funny you say that about the dialogue bubbles. I suppose character dialogue could add something to the story. I've generally been dissatisfied with my attempts at writing dialogue for this kind of thing, though, so I wanted to try to let the images speak for themselves. For me, they do.
It actually occurred to me to write a companion story to go with this - to express exactly what the characters were saying and thinking.
Anyway, this is art. Does the Mona Lisa need a thought bubble? I mean, everybody knows exactly what she's thinking:
