Description I did this one as a commission for SeekHim (seekhim.deviantart.com/ ).
It's Physics Lab of her ship, set in the Abramsverse of Star Trek named USS Saratoga. Seekhim has written a story (A New Start, www.fanfiction.net/s/10360290/… ) in which Captain Kirk leaves the Enterprise and accepts command of another vessel.
Her story is a continuation of ST2009: This Is The End, written by Neferit (neferit.deviantart.com/art/ST2… ).
The ship, its bridge, corridor, captain's ready room, briefing room, captain's quarters, NCO's quarters, officier's quarters, enlisted crewmembers quarters, family quarters, quarters for married couples, mess hall, sickbay, recration room, transporter room, armory, shuttle bay, main engineering, stellar cartography, brig, sensor control room, geology lab, botanical lab, biology lab, zoology lab, planetology lab, chemistry lab, arboretum and other interior drawings you can see here:

Based on and inspired by original designs from Star Trek (Paramount).

The stuff you flesh out for the Saratoga is BOSS.  But some of the bulkhead lines don't follow the hull contours.  In particular, the Captain's Quarters and adjoining rooms have walls that are squarely vertical, or near so.

SeekHim commissioned a deck plan, and some of the rooms won't fit inside unless you change the shape of a wall.  You know how a lot of Enterprise-D quarters had curved walls where they met the outside of the ship?  You need some of that.

Of course, I wouldn't notice this flaw as easily unless everything else was so perfect.

Is there a specific software package used to build these kinds of plans? I've seen a lot of different Star Trek plans in this style but have never seen it mentioned how they are created. Is there anyplace I can go to learn more?

thanks, and it looks great.

Thanks. I am using an vector grafic program "Zoner Calisto 4", but it can be used other software too (Inkscape or something else). And how...? Nobody has teached me, I has learned the basics by my self... and the first one cutaway drawing I have made was this: bobye2.deviantart.com/art/Ente… and than with making other i have became better...

Awesome. Until I read the description, I thought you were talking about the Saratoga from Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home. Speaking of which I did a collage called Tribute to the late Madge Sinclair who was the captain of the Saratoga on that movie.

No... from the ship you mean... we know only the bridge... www.ex-astris-scientia.org/gal…
(by the way... this drawing was modified from the original drawing of USS Grissom from Star Trek Magazine by me also )
