Here it is. Your new ninja is alive and ready to kick ass, and pirates. Some credit goes to =GirlFlash for the flowing ribbon inspiration, which stayed with me all this time since the ninja Emoticon Opus.Included for the administrators is a simple 15x15 version (if they like that one more), and a 19x19 legacy version (because that is the size of the original emoticon). Alternative versions of my other emoticons can also be provided on request.

Looks good with the ribbon but you need to make it clearer that the download contains a zip with the other versions.
The legacy version makes me wonder if the revamps will include removing the extraneous white space that some of the originals have instead of slavishly reproducing the current dimension.

Indeed. There hasn't been any explanation regarding how the emotes are going to be replaced and how the old images will be handled, which is why I've provided the 'legacy' versions, just in case.

Re. the replacement of old images, I've been wondering the same thing. It'll be interesting to see if they just replace directly or if they archive off the old images and keep them in their existing context.

I'll take them down when the revamp is over.
The original emotes will have to stay in the same place URL-wise, but perhaps the new emotes will go in a separate folder or have 'v5' appended to them, etc.

I've always assumed they store the codes with the comments and dynamically substitute the image path while delivering the page - that would make the location flexible but it would also mean that old comments would get the new emotes automatically.

I think they did that in the first few years, but when dA grew, it was too much strain to do that for every comment loaded, which is why all comments are pure HTML now. This is why they said 'bonus points if the new emote has the same dimensions as the original'.

Yes - that makes things tricky. If you look back at the really, really old comments on dA you'll notice that some of the images are missing, too.

Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing a 15x15 version used instead, which is why I've provided one. I thought I would add more complexity just for sake of it.
As for Spyed's own emote, I haven't seen the People category come up in the revamp, so I have no idea what's happening to them.
