In this story,the operatives will target,identify the key characters ,then "persuades" them into collaborating ,by various means,like expressing concern for the safety of their family or the welfare of said people themselves...they would also "help" those dutiful ones to "permanent retirement " . These actions are often well planned and carried out in a precise manner like a clock. The result is significant disruption and decreasing effeciency among the administration of occupied territories and the Evil Empire itself.
Image ,from observation the Resistance figures out the schedule and routine of a certain nasty magistrate; of course this official is often under guard and it is impossible to snatch him openly ;but one day when he goes back home,a worker is doing a messy job painting a street sign just on his way, and the white paint keeps dripping and splatting around; in order to avoid his suit to be tainted ,he walks into an alley;at this moment,two porters ,look as if moving a home,comes out from a house,inevitably block one side of the narrow alley with a big cabinet , thus separates the magistrate from his two guards; when the magistrate disappears from the sight of the guards,a door opened behind him and a sack is put over his head; being muffed and blindfolded,the magistrate is dragged into a basement. without a trace,the magistrate disappears!
Down in the basement,the magistrate would be 'educated 'and 'persuade' to cooperate with the Resistance,at least ,keeps a blind eye towards their activity . And if he refuses,he can 'retire permanently' right now and his family could probably get a pension afterward! Of course,the magistrate needs to make up a story to explain why he disappeared for a few hours,if he is clever enough to make the right decision.
