This picture shows the cover of a Hyperborea Dark Ages/early Medieval manuscript,the "Chronica Hyperboreorvm"--Chronicle of Hyperborea.(Latin translation is provided by Lily the linguist)

In this picture the Fynnic female chieftain Valkea is seen riding her pet bear ,holding a sword. According to contemporary records,she did have a massive pet bear that follows her like a guard dog. It is said she adopted this orphaned bear and reared it to an enormour beast. The bear even accompanied her to battle,but whether she ride the bear or not,is left to imagination. It becomes an favorite topic of Hyperborean artist for generations.

Also,the man standing besides a long ship(drakkar) is Ysgar Thonnerfydd Woelfson,a Northic chieftain,co-founder of independent Hyperborea and consort of Valka.

This picture is a conceptual art for an imaginary TV series "Krone",set in a fictional Northern Baltic/Scandinavian country "Hyperborea". one collaborate project by my friend Lily-in-snow and I.
She constructed the fictional "Northic" language of Hyperborea,that is some awesome feat,based on her research in linguistics.
