Cheers
I get to see quite a lot of squirrels, the trees near where I work are always full of them. I probably spend too much time watching squirrels instead of working...

20, 22, 26 and 28 are probably my favourites of your most recent, but it's tough to choose. You always write so concisely, you know how to cut everything unimportant out and just leave us with the bits worth reading. Congratulations on finishing!

Grats! On completion!
A quick crit:
6th March
tapping harder
you're still not coming in
angry rain
--I think the second line doesn't quite match with the third line.
suggestion--'rain, you're not coming in
even if you angry'
9th March--cheeky flower
18th March--flying teabags--surreal and lololol.
20th March--Love the image of the sated fat moon on noodles-clouds. But if the moon is sated, can it still ride high?
21st March--Love the second and 3rd lines.
31st March--Love the word 'alarums'
24th March--omit 'the' in 2nd line (for more precision)

Cheers very much for the comments, much appreciated
I see what you mean about the 6th, I shall have to have a think on that. I've got rid of the 'the' in the 24th too.

It's over! I'm both sad and glad.
Several of your last ones made me laugh out loud. Favourites this time are the squirrel one, crow one and the last one of all. A great way to end.

I had to think about #17 for a minute, but when I realised what you meant by it, I thought how clever it is (and how true!).
(You've typed #20 twice...)

Oops. Fixed that now - I shouldn't be cutting and pasting at silly o'clock, trying to get the formatting correct, I do silly things like that
The bloke who sits opposite me at work was on the phone - apparently his wife got fed up with her boss and walked out of her job. I was tempted to ask for details...

I very much liked the sensory picture of #16, and #18 is a new favourite, very funny.
The moon is doing strange things here. If I get up in the early hours of the morning I see it as a small (for the moon) orange ball low on the southern horizon - unless it's something else altogether! Spooky.

With the 16th, I really wished I had my camera with me at the time, he was a very tall, archetypal punk - leathers, tatoos, chains, piercings and a huge green mohican and he was bouncing his daughter on his shoulders. Both had the biggest grins I've ever seen
I stand at my back door, flicking the teabags off of the end of a teaspoon, the heap is only about three yards away under a bush but the teabags more often than not end up in the bush, in the herb tub or on a lantern I've got hanging in a clematis...
The moon does sound odd, here it's been very bright most of the time.

i started early comments to some when the haikuthon first was underway but now i'm trying to do some catching-up so other participants know that not only am i posting in my own collection but also am very keenly watching them in return.
#11: i adore the toe one which is no surprise because those are usually the best haiku - ones inspired instantly by the most common and mundane of observations/actions. Here's a 2-liner that responds:
lucky toe
wears a new sweater!
#12: someone sounds tired from a rough night.
#16: that one is such a sweet visual of father & daughter. wouldn't that actually be "mohawk" though? just asking.
#18: "flying teabags" !
#20: mmmm satisfied hungries - this one reminds me i need to eat!
#21: yes - totally relate to the heaviness of the middle of the night sound of silence - and one's own cycle that we aren't nearly as aware of during the day.
i've not commented on all my favorites but know that your collection is a virtual garden treasure.

I certainly wish I could do that, at the moment it looks like I'm going to be doing all my commenting at the end now
(11) Love that answer to the socks
saving footwear
time for the nailclippers
(12) Yes, the change in light levels when the power went off would wake me up then just as I'd doze off again, the power would return and my bedside phone would switch itself on with a loud beep.
(16) It was one of the many times I wished I'd had a camera with me, the pair of them looked so happy. Mohawk is probably the correct wording, with mohican probably being a local thing - I've always called them mohicans anyway
(18) Yes, I stand at my back door and fire them off of a teaspoon
Cheers very much for the comments too

day 3
it's good to take a break from work and look at the light streaming through the windows.
although i suspect this practice leads to a lazy mood and makes you feel like going home.
day 4
i've never think of the cat as 'biting wind' when it yawns. interesting description.
day 7
good job. it makes me water.
day 9
picturesque. the window has become a picture frame and it's almost ready to be painted in monet's impressionistic style.
day 18
frustration, ya? it's one of those days when nothing seems to be done right.

The front of the office where I work has huge glass windows looking out toward tree covered hills - on nice days it's very difficult not to book time off and head out
