Before landing checklist:

Griffon Vulture is an excellent pilot; eye on the threshold, beautiful flare. Truly stunning photo!

I love the curvature of the neck. It looks like a dragon or a velociraptor...

This is cool. I did not read all the comments so someone may have already said this, but at first glance I could not make sense of how a heifer was flying! That white patch of feathers on top looks like a patch on a heifers head, the eyes look like nostrils, etc. I thoughht it was a photo manip or something.

Wow. Flaps down, landing gear deployed...
Birds lend themselves to aviation lingo so well!
Great photo!
(Considering those claws, I'm surprised you didn't DUCK! And I don't mean the sort that says, "Quack, quack!")

OMG This is so epic! My finger itch when I see it! Would you mind if I use this as a reference for my wing studies? And for possible future drawings? With proper credit of course!

XD Great minds they say... (think alike) but you are already so good at wings I doubt you would need reference for more than simple inspiration. Not to mention your epic coloring skillz!

Thank you!
But as flattering as that is, I still have my derp-moments mainly when it comes to primary feathers in unusual angles.XD
I´m still learning and photographies like this help me a lot to improve.

(My gosh I'm so sorry for such a late response! Forgive me!)
Don't we all have "derp-moments" ;D
And yeah, photographs are such a great help for learning.
