they, of course, wildly beautiful, but I feel sorry for the butterfly..

me too... I tell myself that the bird has to eat too... but darn, can't he eat an ugly bug or a mean one like a hornet or something lol... The hawks that hunt in my back yard get birds all the time. I hate it. I am feeding the birds, not baiting them for the hawks. Yet they think my bird feeders are their personal bait piles... They even fight over their kill in my back yard.
