Ahh, finally done. I've been working on this one off and on when I'm able to get a few free moments to myself to paint. This is/was my character from Fable 2. I made him pretty much as evil and corrupt as I possibly could. Too bad the towns became such a dump after I'd been through them.. haha.EDIT- Augh! I'm such an idiot! this is the last time I swear!
Anyway.. I wanted to do a close up shot so I could focus on the features and I really want to try and get better at lighting so I thought I'd do dual lighting and make the sources from his magic fire ball and from the moon. I'm trying to work on making my lights lighter and my darks darker. His coat's a bit rough but I personally like that look. Thoughts and comments are most welcome!
PS- Only one day late for Halloween, not too bad.
Time: Total hours spent probably about 10-15
Tools: Photoshop CS, and my new lovely Intuous Tablet!

this is fucking cool, fable 2 sucks though, so I have to dock you cool points for being inspired by trashy games.
however, there are plenty of intrinsic cool points in this to keep you in the "awesome" category. badass

Yay, it's you! Just the other day I was wondering where you'd gone.
I REALLY love the concept for this guy! He's intriguing, and looks like he'd be fun to watch in a fight.
I must say, it kind of looks like the glowy ball thing is more beyond him than in front of him (because the lighting doesn't hit his shoulder much) ... but maybe that's on-purpose-ful.
That background is beautiful, too. I need to work on backgrounds.

I see what you mean about the glowy fireball thing. I was having so much trouble trying to figure out how I should make it look. Thanks for the tip! I'll have to play around with it some more.
