I thought the constitution from the Lone Ranger movie was black and white. How come your model is white and dark greenish blue?

It's more based on it's very first appearance in the movie during the bridge building scene where it was more this color. I'm guessing that was an early scene and some decision got made later on to make it black. If you look at the LEGO model they must have been giving drawings based on a green boiler because that's the same color scheme they went with.

I wonder if they deliberately made the Constitution to look like the 382.

The plans for the movie prop locomotive were made by up-scaling the dimensions of the AHM model. Which is odd in that in a round about way that makes the prop a life size replica of Casey Jones locomotive.
The coaches in the movie are also directly influenced by a combination of TYCO, Mantua, and Con-Cor equipment.
