This Fairy's pet got trapped in a water droplet! Poor little fuzzy.I haven't done anything quite in this style before, so I hope it goes over well.

whoa, are those legs and arms stock images?? I have started on a photoshop piece of a closeup like this and I was wondering how you got that stringy iridescent effect on the leaf. did you use clone stamp with a real leaf or any textured brushes?

sorry it took so long for me to get back. things have been hectic.
anywho, to answer your question, I took the photos of the arms, legs, and torso myself. The leaf that you are looking at is a combination of 3d model and photographs. The stem which is furry was from a photograph. The leaf texture is applied on a 3d model and touched up in some places with the heal brush and clone brush.

well you don't have to have 3d software. 
If you have a digital camera you'll be all set. just trek around and find the things you need in a picture, or interesting textures. I think looking for things to take photos of is a fun way to take a break from work sometimes.
