I always use textures from Google Earth or similar websites and then I blend them into one huge picture (mostly like 5000x5000) then I use the marquee tool to create a circle... and then I go to Filter --> Distort --> Spherize to make it look like a planet... you know what? I will private message you right now, because it's actually more than that, lol... I will explain it more detailed...
