I'm planning on trying to do Mermay this year. I decided to use a random fish generator to figure out what to draw this month, and the first one was a cardinal fish. The fins reminded me of a bob, and for some reason the colors made me think of flappers (maybe it's because we're reading the Great Gatsby in school, so it's on my mind), so I went with a flapper themed mermaid.
