WOO WATER SHOT. It was cold, icky and there were sharp rocks at the bottom.I really love this shot, I just hate how my favorite shots there's something missing/wrong with my costume. 8T Oh well. I had to take off the earring because I lost the back part of it. It was either risking it in the water and loosing it or not wearing it at all. Then there's the ring thing at the bottom of the silver part of the staff. We don't talk about that part of the staff. I can't wait to remake this eventually. /rant

Regardless of the lack of canon detail that doubtlessly drives you bonkers, this is a great picture! I love the composition; your expression, and especially the special attention you paid to the detail on the staff. I think the bottom part is the best yet I've seen as far as sticking to the original materials/design. Great job!

See, if you hadn't pointed out the missing details, I would never have noticed, because this shot is so beautiful! <3 Man, If I were not eyeball-deep in WCS right now, I would want to go start working on my Garnet costume (darn the temptation of Final Fantasy cosplay!)

So many FF costumes... I plan to re-make Garnet's bodysuit, plus make her dress. Also on the list of FF cosplays I want to do are Sarah Altney and Refia (FF3), Rosa (FF4), Faris (FF5), Relm (FF6). XD Also, should I ever get to the point where I can effectively rib-knit Rinoa's duster, I would cosplay it just because I could knit it. ... I feel like I should just pick someone from 7, 10, and 12 to round off my cosplaying-from-every-final-fantasy. (I'm also considering copslaying Serah from FF13, to go with my Best friend who wants to do Lightning)

Yay for Garnet! FF9 seems really underloved sometimes. I'd love to do her jumpsuit version but I can't seem to find a fabric that I like, along with not knowing where to start with the pattern. @ @;; Man, I really need to play the other FFs. I'm lame and only played 7 to 13, I've always loved Terra's design and the way Amano drew the earlier characters. Oh I know what you mean! I was on the verge of trying to knit it too until I found the perfect rib knit for it. You'd make such an adorable Serah! I'm actually working on my Lightning costume right now, hopefully it'll come out alright. xD

When I did her bodysuit, I started with a pattern for leggings, and a pattern for a crop-top lace-up bodice thing from a renaissance pattern, and I blended them together. Finding the right fabric is a HUGE PAIN, I lucked out though, and think I found just the thing recently. what it IS, I have no idea, and haven't been able to find it again since.
To be honest, I've only actually PLAYED 5, 9, 10, and part of 12. As far as Serah, I'm not so sure... she's such a twig, and I'm definitely not. @_@

Maybe it's because I studied animation, and majored in it for 2 years, but Shape, Form and Proportion is so much more important.obvious to me than race. You can change your face with the right hair and makeup, and the details dissolve, because all people see is the character. (actually, shape and form is where I'm most anal in my costumes -- the way it falls, or DOESN'T fall, is really important to me)
