わくわく回る!明るい星!キュアプリティ!Wakuwaku mawaru! Akarui hoshi! Kyuapuriti!
Twirl excitedly! A bright star! Cure Pretty!
Glitter Force Version: "A spark of a star is a dream to be told! I'm Glitter Wish!"
***
Name: Hoshikita Jewel (星北ジュエル, Phoebe in Glitter Force)
Cure Name: Cure Pretty/Glitter Wish
Age: 14
Personality: Girly, reserved, supportive. Is known as a quiet girl who prefers to read books in the corner. She's known for her fashion and smarts, and cherishes friendships. In addition to Japanese, she speaks fluent English (French in the glitter force dub) due to upbringing in England (France). She loves her fellow exchange student and bff Amanda (Anna in Glitter Force) to pieces and will protect her when things go wrong.
Backstory:
Of course, her first appearance is when Akane (Kelsey) introduces her classmates to Miyuki (Emily). In the english dub, she's told about her fashionable, hand-made clothing, to which Jewel (Phoebe) defends that she's smart too. In the japanese dub, it's the exact opposite, with Akane calling her the second smartest in the class, and Jewel saying that she's more than that, citing her fashion sense as an example.
Now, for the actual introduction, taking place after Cure Beauty (Glitter Breeze) is introduced. The episode is called 星に願いを!プリキュアキュアプリティ! Hoshininegaiwo! Purikyua Kyuapuriti! Wish upon a star! The Pretty Cure Cure Pretty!) or Glitter Wish Upon A Star in glitter force.
Basically, Sasaki Namie (Mrs. Mason) assigns an English (French) project to complete, which involves partnering up and translating common actions around their town into words in that language. It's a partner project, with the partners being chosen by Namie, and it was set to be due that Monday.
Aoki (Chloe) is partnered with Nao (April), Akane is partnered with Yayoi (Lily), and Miyuki is partnered with Jewel. However, as they go around and attempt to translate their actions after school, Miyuki has trouble with her part of the project.
By contrast, Jewel is actually doing surprisingly well on her part. When Miyuki asks Jewel how she's effortlessly translating those words, she reveals that she's an american (french) exchange student. Stunned and excited, the two end up talking on the park bench until the sun starts to set and the stars come out.
Panicked about not finishing her part of the project, Miyuki says that she has no idea what to do, and worries that she's way behind. Jewel, however, reassures Miyuki that they'll finish it, and she helps calm her new friend with a method she learned as a child: to make a promise on a star, as a sort of pact for good luck. Their promise to work together and help each other strengthens their determination, and on Monday, the two earn a score of 90/100, the best score in the class.
As lunch break is called, the duo beams at their accomplishment....until a new bratty, childlike villain called Akufay (known as Faybella in Glitter Force, www.deviantart.com/booloocrew/… ) shows up. Distastefully bullying Jewel for her fashion sense, she plunges the area into despair as the precures (Glitter force) transform to fight them. A nearby bento box is transformed into a Akanbe (Buffoon), which quickly overpowers the cures, its food related attacks trapping all of them in one way or another. However, once Miyuki mentions that if they work together, they'll get outta this, Jewel snaps out of her despair and throws her diamond-shaped hair-jewel at the Akanbe, hitting it in the eye and stunning it.
Akufay gets angry and demands that she stop, saying that she'll kill anyone who ruins her moment to shine (it's a threat to be simply destroyed by the "frankly ugly" Buffoon in glitter force), to which she says that when Miyuki....in whatever form she's in....helped her to finally have her first Japanese friend (since her only other friend, Amanda, was from England/France too), and that her kindness is what made her feel like she belonged. (In glitter force, they add her saying that she'll always wish to work with a kind friend like Emily.) The purple transformation light goes over her, and after being a bit unsure about the fairy (pixie) in front of her, she gains the music note decor and becomes Cure Pretty (a pun of Pretty Cure, Glitter Wish in Glitter Force).
Then, after realizing she has the power of creating star-shaped shields to protect herself from said food bombs, she uses her attack Pretty Star (Sparkle Star) to slice through the akanbe and purify the monster, earning the Cake Cure Decor.
The episode then ends in the middle of lunch, with Jewel thanking Akane, and with her being confused on why Jewel said her first name instead of her surname. Miyuki tries to explain her exchange student status, but Jewel cuts her off. Then she explains that her mother was born in Japan, and she just wanted to signify that the pretty cures are good friends in her mind, apologizing if it was offensive. The group accepts, just as the camera pans to Amanda smiling at the group from the back wall, her curly hair blowing in the summer wind.
(In the dub, this whole scene is changed to Kelsey's name being mispronounced as Ka-say via a french accent, and the group accepting her apology for butchering the name)

Transformation:
Based on this description: prettycure.fandom.com/wiki/Hos…
The Smile Pact is first opened, and Jewel sets her ribbon Cure Decor piece into the recess. This causes her individual purple light to light up first, followed by the seven lights inside the Smile Pact in sequence. A background voice asks, "Ready?", and in response, Jewel shouts out the transformation phrase "Pretty Cure! Smile Charge!". The Smile Pact produces a powder puff, which Jewel taps on the Smile Pact to collect up magic powder. Jewel launches a 4-point star with the puff, which then flies and does a loop in the air. Then, it explodes into tiny shooting stars. As the stars settle on her glowing outfit, they form her arm warmers, shoes, dress and the Smile Pretty Cure brooch. Then, the stardust encases her hair as its color shifts from dark purple to lavender and transforms into a new style. Lastly, she pats the powder puff onto her cheeks to give a rosy glow. After transforming, Cure Pretty flies down from the sky, landing on her feet with a twirl. She introduces herself and declares her battle cry, before striking her final pose.
Attacks:
As a Smile Precure member, she has the power of creating star-shaped shields of lavender light, allowing her to protect herself and her friends from potentially dangerous beams and blasts. However, too much force will cause the shield to break.
Pretty Star (プリティスター Puritisutā): An attack that involves her throwing a flat, star-shaped projectile that transforms into a shooting star, which then explodes into stardust upon hitting the enemy. This can purify it or make it blind for a few seconds. In Glitter Force, the attack is called Sparkle Star!
Pretty Star Sparkle (プリティスタースパークル!Puritisutāsupākuru!). An upgraded version of the attack that is more powerful and has a bigger blast radius, which can purify stronger enemies or knock back generals. In Glitter Force, the attack is called Sparkle Star Twinkle!
Rose Star (ローズスター! Rōzusutā!) is Cure Ruby and Cure Pretty's duo attack. The two shoot out their respective beams, which combine into a giant bomb that has a much bigger blast radius. In Glitter Force, this attack is called Sparkle Star Flower!
Bad End Star: (バッドエンドスター!Baddoendosutā!): Her Bad End (Shadow Force) counterpart's main offensive attack, which involves the enemy shooting a bunch of dark purple shooting stars from high the air, which fall down like meteors and explode once it comes into contact with a surface. In Glitter Force, the attack is called Shadow Force Star Strike.
