All of these previous characters were designed in the style of the 2009-10 reboot.

Angel Cake is a rival baker to Strawberry Shortcake, but is actually good friends and a formal penpal with her. She's a shy girl who's talented in her own right, but is pretty lonely until she moves her bakery, Angel Food Cakes, to the Berry Bitty City.

Peppermint Fizz is no longer a rival to Strawberry in this incarnation. Rather, she's a tomboy and skater-girl who owns a skatepark near Blueberry's bookstore. While the two used to often clash about the noise level, they are now friends with each other. Peppermint's favorite thing in the world is her skateboard, of which she calls White Lightning.

Ginger Snap is the owner of a technology repair store, located in the outskirts of the city. Her personality remains unchanged.

Banana Splits (Formerly Banana Twirl, a character introduced in the tail end of the 80s era) is a prankster and jokester at heart. She owns a prank store, after all, so her job literally is to make people laugh. However, her joking personality might offend some people. Nevertheless, she almost never fails to bring a smile to someone's face.
