If you know me IRL, you probably know ho much the ball-game (and the '90s-2000s NBA) brought to my life, and if you don't, let's put it briefly, it was a breath of fresh air during hardship and seeing people like MJ and Kobe (who was the same age as me, makes things even more relatable!) play and workout taught me a lot about work-ethics and the fact you don't get what you want unless you work your ass off...

Even though as a lifelong Charlotte Hornets fan, I held a grudge against Kobe Bryant for refusing to be drafted by my fav' team, I had nothing but respect for the player and, as I said before, his amazing work-ethics. Up to this weekend, I considered the man as kinda unmovable, he was there to stay like the skies and the mountains, it proved to be wrong, teaching me one last lesson in life: work your ass off and give all you have to reach your goals, but never take anything or anyone for granted...

Had to spent a few hours yesterday on and off this drawing (definitely not my best by far!), because I had to get pain and sadness outta my system in some way, and the best one I found was a tribute...

As usual, I worked on my old and yet trusty A5 sketchpad, and I used a mix of Windsor&Newton markers and Posca pencils for colors...
