"Hired interns are a lot smaller than they used to be..."Okay so I'm going to be doing a micro series to train myself for Evera's later chapters. I equipped myself with high-detail displacement maps and new shaders/lights and now it's time to test them out! Pointers from other experts on how to get the maximum detail out of close-up shots would be appreciated.

I never had a preference for the gender of tinies, since I never had a femdom sub-fetish, so their gender is chosen at random or it is based on what I feel is more fitting for the image. Male or female.
I advise to try not ask artists to remake an image for you. I've seen quite a few artists complain about comments like "remake this but make her hair longer" or "remake this but make her bustier!" or "remake this but make them smaller, larger, male, female, etc." It takes a lot of time For any artist to make a picture, and pretty much every artist is going to turn you down if you ask them to go back and do it from scratch just to appease one person's wishes. Everyone has different tastes and you can't please everyone, and if you try to you'd go insane.

Only suggestion I would have is to use a tighter focal on the camera and pulling out a bit further to eliminate some of that empty space. That'll draw a tighter focus to the hand itself, but it's less a tip on how to get more detail out of the skin itself and more a composition idea to make what you have work more in your favor.

Gotcha. So like the "right click the zoom button" command? Slyworks also gave me a spiel about getting rid of empty space a long time ago when I asked about tips. Seems important for close up shots.
It was originally zoomed in only on the palm, but I wanted to see the hand/finger discplacement maps so I backed out.

Under the camera tab, you'll see Frame Width and Focal Length.
You can use either or really, but adjusting them around to get a tighter perspective can help out.

Yeah "right click zoom button" thing is the shortcut for Length at least, not sure about width.
