My friend asked me to develop a symbol for her LARP (Live-Action Role Play) character. These were some of the sketches I worked on for her.

Her character is a paladin for the archbishop of a christian church-like organization, and the archbishop is from France, with the last name De Lys, so I went from there.

The text says:

"The Spear of Longinus is strapped to the front, depicting both Mag's dedication to the covenant and her role as abbess of the Order of the Martyred Lady of the Lance.

The ends of the cross resemble both the fleur de lys, harkening to her heritage, and the lily, the traditional flower of death."
