All this stuff about Korra, about how's she's so different from Aang, totally out to accept her destiny, made me nostalgic for the sweet little kid I first knew as the Avatar. And since, FOR ONCE, I had time to indulge in art for myself, I thought I'd make a little something!Related content

People forget that the circunstances between Aang and Korra are way different. I can't say until I see the new series, but Aang had way much more weight on his shoulders, with a tiny fraim of time to acomplish it.

Okay, this has been in my inbox for a while and I forgot to come back and comment because really, this simple picture made me see how really far you've come. The brush strokes, the organic and lively nature of the entire thing even though it's a moment of peace. Look at that tree! And the grass! And the shading! The general softness and dappled lighting, and the fun splashy textures! Compared to your much more cel-like and I would even say slightly stiff (in terms of shading and outlines) of your previous work, this piece is a reflection to your growth. I love it I love it I love it!

Hmmm... I'm kinda conflicted. I used to like this show, then had my fave atla arts deleted out of annoyance to its fandom and swore myself never again to go back.
But I think I'll make an exception here... deep down buried in my bitter cynicism I really love Aang's character. And your fanart really nailed it.
