All this stuff about Korra, about how's she's so different from Aang, totally out to accept her destiny, made me nostalgic for the sweet little kid I first knew as the Avatar. And since, FOR ONCE, I had time to indulge in art for myself, I thought I'd make a little something!Related content

Very nostalgic. This makes me think of the tree under which Iroh sat under in Tales of Ba Sing Se. Well...Aang does die...and I'm going to cry if they ever flashback to that part.

That's very nice about it.
After watching the teaser, the new series I'm not sure if it's going to be good since it's quite very modernized though. And most Chinese shows that features old dynasty styles usually take place in ancient China, not in modern times though. A strong storyline can sell, but when apply into visuals, it can be a total letdown if poorly executed.

The Fire Nation was going through their own industrial revolution so that show never really took place in such an ancient time period. I don't think you can have Fire Nation soldiers ride around in steam-powered jet skis and apply it to anything in the Yuan Dynasty. The world of Avatar was already moving towards modernization through technological advancements. If we apply it to our own timeline, what we saw was taking place in the 1850's--move that forward 70 years and we land right into the mid-20's. Avatar was never really like "most Chinese shows".

Ahh, the industrial revolution, about like those in the 19th century and the most famous is the steam train.
The Chinese shows I'm talking about is about the content itself, that's what I said though, ancient clothing, Justice Bao, etc.. But when you said today, I hope it does well too, particularly when Republic City look like Hong Kong today.

Well it seems like Korra will keep the tradition of being an Asian mashup like the original show was.
Republic City is based on Toronto, NYC and 1930's Shanghai.
