This is my entry for the Alice in Wonderland artbook contest for
I've been working on this on and off for about a month now while still trying to juggle exams, but I'm finally finished, and so is school. hallelujah.
The theme of the contest was wonderland redesigned but I skipped on more obvious themes and went for something more conceptual, so I decided to do Alice literally redesigning her own wonderland. I tried keeping the piece childlike and innocent with Alice painting her way into wonderland (creating the "rabbit-hole").
Overall, I'm pretty proud! It was only my second time using copics and there were lots of firsts and mistakes but it was a huge learning process nonetheless

this is lovely! the shadow on the reflective floor, and frm the objects is a very nice touch, I guessed it was copics and I was right! It is very creative and nicely laid out, not too centered :3 as teh eyes lead to the castle so much patience for the background! wow keep it up ^_^

I'm amazed at the textures you can get with markers and gel pen - I'd never really thought of them as media that could lead to results like this. I want to thank you for making me reconsider what they can do.
Alice's dress looks a little odd - like the fabric is super drapey and slinky, not something a child's dress would usually be made of. The only other thing I could think of to do differently is to work on the perspective a little bit (the tiles at the bottom could be larger, to give the illusion of being closer to the viewer), but since it's wonderland, that doesn't even seem like a big deal to me.

I love this piece! You really feel that there's been a world created from pictures, and I like all the little Alice references in it. The way you've captured the smallest of details is lovely, from the tape on the wall to the reflections in the floor. Tiny point I would make is to capture a bit more light on the paint pots, but that's a minor detail ^^

This is beautiful, so much detail and a really unique idea with the paper acting as a portal. Your traditional colouring skills are incredible too, so clean and vibrant! Lovely work you should be very proud of this piece, good luck in the contest!
