Description
Today was his day. Sort of. Today was the day Yang would be officially given the title of Jack of Spades.
And today was the day Tobio would be officially exiled. He was a Joker. Tobio was supposed to be the Jack of Spades, however, his suit never developed, so he was to be cast out.

Yang stood before the adviser who was to declare him the new Jack of Spades before the crowd, however, nobody was paying attention. Knights were guiding Tobio out of the kingdom, and the adviser's words were drowned out by accusations of, "Joker!" and "Filth!" among other angry shouts from the crowd. Yang reluctantly looked over his shoulder and there he saw his beloved little brother, piercing red eyes glaring back at him with unadulterated hatred. A white pelted Spade knight snapped at the newly declared Joker and Tobio tore his eyes away, continuing on his way out, not reacting to the stones being hurled at him. Yang could hear his mother's sobs behind him, and looking over the other shoulder, could see the concealed rage and shock on his father.
This was the second Joker the Kingdom of Spades had exiled these past two months. It was unusual, and the other three kingdoms were shaming Spades not only because they had produced two Jokers in such a short amount of time, but for the fact that the two Jokers were supposed to hold two very important roles within the kingdom. The soon to be Ace of Spades, a white fox, had been exiled almost no longer than two months ago, and the current Ace of Spades, his mother, had betrayed the kingdom and ran away with her exiled child. Now the supposed Jack of Spades was a Joker as well.

"Silence!" the crowd hushed, the adviser commanding their attention, looking infuriated. The reddish wolf's gaze swept across the scene, making sure he had everybody's attention before continuing. "And today, we entitle Yang Xiao of the Xiao family the new Jack of Spades!"
A deathly silence befell the entire crowd, and turning to face them, he saw that not a single face smiled. Tiang, his mother, turned and ran off, not wanting to break the silence with her sobs and Zheng followed after her.

Not a single soul was happy for his entitlement. And he couldn't disagree.
